Rangiora A&P Show
Our debut at Rangiora A&P was October 2025.
After being rained off last minute for 2024 we finally made it to Rangiora A&P Show where we were given the main arena for 2 hours to do host a breed display.
We hosted: Kaimanawa, Appaloosa, Gypsy Cob, Icelandic, Shetland Pony, Rocky Mountain mare and foal, Morgan Horse (NZ's only trick riding Morgan Horse), Gypsy Cob partbred and Welsh Pony partbreds owned by Abi Rickett's.
This display was arena only and President Liselle Silver spoke over the loudspeaker to educate the public about the breeds and their challenges.
After the demo we spent time at our stall discussing horses with passersby and making some good connections.
All the horses did us proud and were wonderful ambassadors in a high energy environment with the loud speakers folding back on them.
Abi Rickett's kindly loaned us some obstacles to play with adding vibrance, and action to the space. Abi is available for lessons in natural horsemanship in Lincoln - we highly recommend her!

Showtime is...
Working together online, coming together from across the country to make something beautiful - Well earned social dinners - Working late into the night getting signs sorted - Making new friends - Riding out after showtime for a good zoom - Camping and cooked breakfast - Stepping back to admire the hard work of building up the yards - Catching up with old friends - Dressing up in costumes to celebrate culture and history - Seeing it all come together on the day - Eye-catching signs telling important stories - Those moments the public truly connect with a new breed.
